7. Excessive Nighttime Activity (“Midnight Zoomies”)
Sudden bursts of energy, often at night, are common among cats and are known as “zoomies.” Cats are crepuscular, meaning they’re naturally more active during dawn and dusk. Indoor cats may release pent-up energy in these nocturnal sprints.
These episodes can also indicate a lack of daytime stimulation. Providing more playtime during the day can help manage their energy and redirect their bursts of activity to more convenient times.
